Understanding Aquarius Energy

Aquarius is a fixed sign. Fixed signs = the middle, thickest of the season.
(In Northern Hemisphere, winter. In Southern Hemisphere, summer)
Aquarius is the water bearer, the thing that holds the water, not the water itself.
It’s the vase for the flowers, the brain/neural networks for our consciousness, it’s the ice tray for the cubes.
It’s the 24 square miles of greenery & nature in the midst of the city for the plants, trees & bees.
It’s your body holding space for your spirit.
Containers.
Take a moment to feel into behind held, holding.

Aquarius is connected to humanity - finding belonging as an individual within the collective.
Aquarius is like “I’m not like the others ~I’m different~”
Also Aquarius: who even am I in this world, where do I belong?

Makes sense, since Aquarius is that humanity & connection.
We’re all out here tryna be totally unique + authentic AND find belonging, find our people.
(hint: we can all have both. as we are more true to ourselves, we found the people who love us for us - a beautiful symbiotic vibe)
Aquarius being a connective sign also teaches us about its shadow: disconnection
Feeling like “oh shit, all this humanity, compassion, the connection is a lot to hold - let me zap up into my brain, my intellect to understand this.”
This is where we see too much logic, hyper-rationality, a cold detachment coming in.
Mhm, mhm. Makes sense. I mean, helloooo Compassion fatigue.

Aquarius is ruled by Saturn, traditionally. Saturn = infrastructure, systems, limitations of our Earthly reality
but guess what? Aquarius isn’t an Earth sign - it’s an Air sign that solidifies our beliefs, our intellect, our knowings that guides us into the 12th sign, Pisces, our spirit
On this Feb 11th, 2021 New Moon - Jupiter + Venus are conjoining - in the realm of our beliefs, our intellect, our knowings we’re being energetically nudged to expand, to connect, to dream big

Start with taking a deep breath, exhale out your last breath, inhale in something fresh, exhale out tension, inhale in love, exhale out worry, inhale in ease, exhale out stagnation
connection with self, take a minute to just feel your body, feel your being and, say to yourself “May I be safe, be happy, be healthy, live with ease.”

connection with someone who is easy to love, a pet, friend, family member, lover, anyone who easily sparks joy. direct your attention to this being, feeling the easy love that emerges, and energetically say to them “May you be safe, be happy, be healthy, live with ease.”

connection with someone who is neutral, the checkout person at the grocery store, your chill coworker, your neighbor you pass by on walks. direct your attention to this being, feel what naturally emerges, and energetically say to them “May you be safe, be happy, be healthy, live with ease.”

connection with someone who is tough to love, a manager who gave you tough feedback, your family member who you adore but is getting on your nerves, your partner when they forgot your anniversary, the roommate who never does the dishes. direct your attention to this being, feel what naturally emerges, and energetically say to them “May you be safe, be happy, be healthy, live with ease.”

connection with all life - every human, flower, animal, tree, cell, deep-sea beings, the inkling that there’s life beyond earth, every person you’ve passed by, every rose you stopped to smell, every rose you didn’t stop to smell - all life - direct your attention to the interconnection of all life, feel what naturally emerges, and energetically say “May all be safe, be happy, be healthy, live with ease.”
This deep sense of compassion for each other,
the desire to distribute compassion to the world.
To create systems that value people, all life.
Reminder: Energy is a spectrum

There’s space to find your center.
Connect first to yourself, tuning into that Aquarius compassion for yourself on this human journey.
